THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will cross state lines to take on the University of South Alabama on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. The action will be streamed via ESPN+.
This will be the eighth matchup between the Colonels and the Jaguars. USA leads the series 5-2 and has won the last three including a 74-73 thriller last season in Stopher Gym.
The Colonels are coming off a week where they beat Dillard (68-36) and fell to Alcorn (54-46).
Nicholls (5-4) is led by two double figure scorers. Sophomore forward
Lexi Alexander averages 10.9 points and 5.4 rebounds, while freshman guard
Britiya Curtis averages 10.2 points and adds 1.7 steals per contest which is fourth best in the Southland Conference.
Senior guard
Kyla Hamilton scores 8.8 points and 1.8 steals per contest which is second best in the SLC. Freshman guard
Betzalys Delgado paces the Colonels offense with 4.1 assists per game.
