THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University baseball team's home-and-home series this week against Southern University has been canceled.

Nicholls was scheduled to host the Jaguars on Tuesday and make a trip to Baton Rouge on Wednesday. But Southern's conference series against Prairie View A&M was postponed over the weekend and will be made up during the week.

Nicholls (18-16) is off for the rest of the week and will return to the diamond on Tuesday, April 18 to host Mississippi Valley State.
