FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University cornerback Laurence Sullivan Jr. has been named Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his two-interception performance in the blowout victory at Southern.

Although Nicholls has 12 interceptions on the year, Sullivan is the first player with two this season. The defense ranks first in the FCS in interceptions and is tied for first in turnovers gained with 17.
