CHOUDRANT, La. - The Nicholls State University men's golf team opened its 2024 fall schedule in the three-day Argent Financial Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech at the Squire Creek Country Club.
Jack Moro led the team with a 10-over 226 for the tournament, helped by an even 72 in the second round.
Kyle Traub also carded an even in the opening round before pacing the Colonels on Tuesday with a 2-over. He finished his first event for the Red and Gray with a 228
Chase Pochylko was a stroke behind 229 while
Thomas Danielson finished at 239 and
Diego Prat Cruza shot a 241.
As a team, Nicholls shaved a stroke off its score each round for a 918 but finished at the bottom of the leaderboard. Troy edged Houston by three strokes for the team title while Rice's Lukas Boandl took medalist honors with a 10-under 206.
