THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University baseball coach
Brent Haring announced the fall recruiting class that features six student-athletes.
Haring is excited about the new signees and how their skill sets can improve the team.
"We are excited to announce our early signees and I believe we signed not only great baseball players but also great people that will fit our community and help us as we strive to win SLC Championships and make a run in the NCAA Tournament," Haring stated. "This group of 6 players is going to be fun to watch. They are all unique and different which is exactly what we were looking for. We are looking forward to getting them down here to the bayou and helping them develop into the best baseball players they can be. I really believe that all 6 of these guys have the ability to play professional baseball at a very high level."
Caden Fenger - RHP - College of Southern Idaho - Mandeville, LA - "We are glad to bring Caden Fenger back home to the Bayou. He is a very talented RHP that can really spin the baseball and comes from one of the top JUCO Programs in the country."
Aubrey St. Angelo - INF/RHP - Brusly HS - Brusly, LA - "Aubrey was one of the first players we evaluated when I got the job. He is a dynamic talent that will have an immediate impact in our program both on the mound and with his bat. He is a very physical kid with a ceiling that seems to never end."
Bryce Rivers - INF - Saraland HS - Mobile AL - "Bryce is a throwback player, he plays the game hard and plays the game right all the time. He is the epitome of how we want our players to play the game."
Chandler Tullis - L.D. Bell HS - Bedford, TX - "Chandler is a dynamic outfielder that plays the game on full blast. He can really go get the baseball and is fearless in the outfield. He is the great grandson of Ray E. Didier so it will be fun to watch him contribute to the program that his family has had such a hand in building."
Ripken Roberts - Skyridge HS - Lehi, UT - "We are so excited to have Rip. When you talk about tools he has all of them. He can really play the game and plays it with an edge. He has incredible blood lines with both his dad and brother being professional baseball players and I have no doubt that he will be a professional player as well. He will be fun to watch."
Mack Evans - College of Southern Idaho - Pocatello, ID - "Mack is a long physical outfielder that has real power and can really go get the ball. He is a natural leader and will bring much needed experience to our outfield."
