NEW ORLEANS, La. – Earlier this week, the Nicholls State University men's and women's cross country teams were named to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2025 Division I Cross Country all-academic team as the organization announced its scholar awards.
 
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. The men's squad posted a cumulative 3.324 GPA while the women notched a 3.434 GPA.
 
The Southland Conference had a strong showing on the list as the league was represented by UIW, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, East Texas A&M, UTRGV, New Orleans, McNeese, HCU, and SFA.
