THIBODAUX, La.  – Following five consecutive games on the road, the Nicholls State University baseball team will return home to host UIW on March 21-23.
 
The first two games at Ray E. Didier Field will begin at 6 p.m. while Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
Nicholls (8-14, 3-6, SLC) enters the weekend on a five-game losing streak. The Colonels dropped mid-week games against Tulane and No. 22 Mississippi State before being swept by league leader UTRGV.
 
In the other dugout, UIW (10-12, 0-9 SLC) enters the weekend after winning back-to-back road games against Rice (4-2) and Southern (19-11) earlier this week. The Cardinals are the lone SLC team without a league win as they were previously swept by HCU, Northwestern and UNO.
