LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Monday its Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes and the Nicholls State University softball program led the Southland Conference with 15 student-athletes on the list.
Making the list for Nicholls were
Mckenzie Champagne,
Reagan Heflin,
Gabby Higbee,
Erin Krause,
Kayleigh Lugowski,
Sydney Mann,
Ally Mooneyham,
Alyssa Naquin,
Averi Paden,
Claire Sisco,
Brynne Songy,
Sydni Stevens,
Laylin Sturm,
Molly VandenBout, and
Molly Yoo.
In order to be selected as an Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete, a player must have maintained a 3.50 GPA for the academic year.
The Colonels had five players named to the Southland All-Academic squad this season -- Sisco was a first-team honoree while Heflin, Krause, Paden, and Yoo were second-team selections. As a team, Nicholls posted a 3.45 GPA for the academic year.
