FRISCO, Texas - Nicholls State University softball senior Reagan Heflin has earned this week's Jersey Mike's Southland Softball Hitter of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday. 

Heflin posted a .600 batting average with seven RBIs as Nicholls went undefeated in Troy's Trojan Invitational, pushing their winning streak to six games.

On Friday, Heflin doubled and drove in three in the run-rule win over Kennesaw State before delivering an RBI single in the 6-5 victory over Troy, which was ranked No. 20 in Mid-Major Top 25. Then in the Saturday finale, she hit a two-run homer in run-rule win over Furman and ended the game with an RBI single.

Southland weekly award winners are nominated and voted upon by each school's sports information director. Voting for one's own athlete is not permitted. To earn honorable mention, a student-athlete must appear on 25 percent of ballots.
