THIBODAUX, La. -- After losing four consecutive games, the Nicholls State University baseball team will look to get back on track as they cross state lines to play a three-game series against UIW in San Antonio, Texas on March 20-22.
 
First pitch from Sullivan Field on Friday and Saturday is scheduled for 2 p.m., while the series finale on Sunday will begin at 1 p.m. All three games will be streamed via ESPN+.
 
Nicholls (11-12, 3-5 SLC) is coming off a week where they picked up mid-week victories over Jackson State and Xavier (La.) before being swept in a three game home series against UTRGV. Earlier this week the Red & Gray dropped a game against No. 12 Southern Miss as part of the Whitney Hancock Classic in Biloxi, Mississippi.
 
Last week UIW (12-9, 4-5 SLC) beat Abilene Christian (13-1) before taking two of three games in a road series against New Orleans. The Cardinals completed their home and home matchups against ACU with a 9-8 victory on Wednesday night. The Cardinals dropped their first two SLC series against HCU and Northwestern State.
