THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University men's golf team will head to Kerrville, Texas for the Southland Conference Championship, held at Comanche Trace starting Monday, April 20 through Wednesday.
The Colonels will get underway on Monday at 11:30 a.m. and are paired up with New Orleans in the first round for the second year in a row. The final round on Wednesday will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Ethan Marx will get things started for the Colonels, followed by
Jack Moro,
James Bould,
Kyle Traub, and Robert Leo Arnorsson.
Chase Pochylko will serve as the substitute.
Marx is coming off a near top-20 finish as he shot a 222 in the Arkansas State Spring Invitational. Traub had two top-20 finishes this season, highlighted by taking sixth-place in the LaTour Intercollegiate.
In the 2025 championship, Nicholls placed ninth and Moro was the top finisher for the returnees at 21st place with a 222. He was also the top finisher in 2024.
The winning team and top individual finisher at the SLC Championship will earn the Southland's automatic berth in the NCAA Championship.
