NORMAN, Okla. – The Nicholls State University men's golf team earned recognition for its success in the classroom as it was a recipient of the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
 
A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award. A team must post a collective 3.2 grade-point average or higher for the academic school year. 

The golf squad had four members named Southland All-Academic this year -- James Bould, Ethan Marx, Jack Moro and Chase Pochylko, and Moro also garnered All-America Scholar earlier this week. For the Southland Spring Honor Roll, the four All-SLC academic selections were joined by Elliot Aucoin and Dylan Weber on the list.
