THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University men's golf team will take part in the Sandestin Collegiate Classic for the second year in a row, but this time, it will serve as the opener for the Fall 2026 schedule.
.The three-day tournament will begin on Monday, September 14 with 18 holes slated for each day. Live scoring is available here.

James Schilling welcomes back a veteran group including upperclassmen
Jack Moro,
Kyle Traub,
James Bould and
Ethan Marx who are all set to compete in the opener. Rounding out the lineup is William Carey transfer
Ongsa Booncharn.
Elliot Aucoin will compete as an individual.
Traub posted the team's top scoring average a year ago at 74.2, closely followed by Moro (74.5) and Bould (74.8) who both shot a 215 in last year's Sandestin Classic to tie for 36th.
Including Nicholls and host Texas State, a total of 14 teams will be competing in the event -- Central Arkansas, East Texas A&M, HCU, High Point, Lamar, Louisiana, LSU New Orleans, Mercer, South Alabama, ULM, UT Arlington, and West Florida.
The Colonels will tee off on Monday at 9:00 a.m. and are grouped with Central Arkansas, LSU New Orleans, and West Florida.
