Nicholls ranks second in the league with 1.8 doubles per game but has struggled to produce runs with a .248 team batting average.
Senior right-handed pitcher Jake Bedevian will throw on Tuesday. He put together a stellar outing against UL-Lafayette last Wednesday, tossing 6.2 innings while allowing just one earned run on three hits and five strikeouts.
The Pioneers (2-4) went 1-2 in Baton Rouge over the weekend, topping SLC foe Southeastern Louisiana 5-3 before falling to LSU, 7-0, and Toledo, 7-2. Sacred Heart is fronted offensively by Dan Schock, who has a team-high nine hits, seven RBIs, three doubles and two homers.
