SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Nicholls State University men's golf team completed the first two rounds of the Southland Championship, hosted at the Hill Country Golf Club. Thursday's final round will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Braxton Kuntz paced the Colonels, tying for 13th with a +2, 145. He posted a 71 on Tuesday before turning in a 74. He was tied for fifth after 18 holes but slipped after totaling four bogeys in the second round. Kuntz will be aiming for his fourth Top 10 finish this season.
Six and seven strokes behind were
Jace LeJeune (151) and
Mickael Najmark (152). LeJeune made four birdies on Wednesday to move up four spots on the leaderboard.
After shooting a 78 on Tuesday,
Ryan O'Neil knocked three strokes off his second round with a +3, 75.
Martin Trochu shot 78s in both of his rounds.
As a team, Nicholls shot a 301 and a 300 and trail Francis Marion by four strokes for eighth place.Â
