KERRVILLE, Texas - Freshman
Thomas Danielson fired a 3-over 75 in the final round and finished in a tie for 15th place, leading the Nicholls State University men's golf team at the Southland Conference Championship, held at Comanche Trace on Wednesday.
Danielson posted a 222 for the three rounds, adding three more birdies on Wednesday. His scores were steady throughout the championship as he turned in rounds of 74, 73, and 75.
Jack Moro matched his first-round score of 78 and shot a 232.
Zachary Morvant carded a 79 on Wednesday. Moro and Morvant each had two birdies in the final 18 holes. Rounding otut he lineup were
Chase Pochylko and
Diego Prat Cruza with 82s.
As a team, Nicholls remaining in ninth place after shooting a 314. The Colonels finished a stroke ahead of Texas A&M-Commerce.
Augusta repeated as champions with an 855, finishing 18 strokes ahead of second-place Lamar. Cole Stevens (-6, 210) and Stefan Jacobs (-5, 211) also represented Augusta atop the leaderboard as they finished first and second.
