Head Coach
Stefanie Slekis thoughts on the performances.
"We had a strong opener both sprints and mid-distance/distance saw some personal bests and best openers. Most notably Nisaiah setting personal bests in both the 60m and 200m and
Issy Rivault in the women's mile."
"In our field events and hurdles we saw where we need the most work and have a plan to get where we want to be in the next month or so. I'm excited for jumps and throws to have another great opportunity at McNeese in a week or so although the winter weather this week has us reschedule our periodization a bit to maximize our training opportunities before then."
"Additionally our women's pentathletes will have their first opportunity to high jump and throw shot put while also completing the entire pentathlon. for 200m to 3000m we are ready for a strong showing at McNeese as well. Especially after the strong opener those event groups had."
