Layla Ingalls, Anne de Jong, and
Maria Nikolaou placed eighth in the women's DMR with a time of 12:09.64.
Head coach
Stefanie Slekis gave her thoughts on the performances and how they can use the momentum moving forward.
"We had a strong showing at Texas relays with our women's DMR just missing the school record and improving on our time from the indoor conference championship to be #2 all time outdoor in Colonel history. Issy took 2:20 off her debut 10k from last year to become #4 all time for Nicholls. I know she has more she can show in that event, and we're excited to see where she continues to progress in the event."
"Luke set a Nicholls personal best off a strong first 5k we hit a rough patch but I'm proud of how he competed and what he can do later this season when he races it again at the championship."
"Our men's 4x1 ended up in lane 1 which can be tough and although we wanted to run faster than in opener, I'm proud of how they competed in the rain, in lane 1, on the biggest stage they've competed on. We're excited to see how they can progress this season. This relay group has a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where they'll be in May at the outdoor championship."
