THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's soccer team had five players named to the Southland Conference Soccer All-Academic team league office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Members of the All-Academic team are nominated by their institution based on athletic performance and must hold at least a 3.25 GPA and have completed in one semester of athletic competition at the nominating institution.
 
The Colonels held a cumulative GPA of 3.23 and was represented by sophomores Mylea Riggle and Kaylie Harris who hold GPAs of 4.0 and 3.35, and seniors Lillie Mazur (3.86), Avery Mondoux (3.82), and Sara Sigurdsson (3.89).
 
The five players also excelled on the field as Mondoux scored five goals and had one assist, Harris also scored five goals. Riggle was strong in the midfield as she scored four times and dished three assists. Mazur and Sigurdsson anchored the Red & Gray defense and combined for one goal and two assists.
