FRISCO, Texas – Nicholls State University men's tennis sophomore Felipe Spagnuolo has won this week's Southland Conference Tennis Players of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Spagnuolo had a solid week for the Colonels, going 2-1 in both singles and doubles with his lone losses coming against No. 7 LSU. He earned a straight-set win over Southern at No. 2 and was the only Colonel to win in singles vs Charleston.

Spagnuolo won both of his doubles matches, 6-4, helping Nicholls sweep doubles action vs Southern and Charleston.

The honor is the first for Spagnuolo in his career.
