THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University soccer team will conclude the regular season and celebrate senior day against Northwestern State at Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.
Prior to the match, the Colonels will honor senior forward 
Kaitlyn Poirrier and midfielder 
Caryn Bonadona.
 
The match will be the annual "Pack the Plex" contest where fans can win prizes from corporate partners of Nicholls Athletics.
 
The Colonels enter the matchup after a road trip where they fell to Texas A&M-Commerce and Southeastern.
 
Junior midfielder 
Lauren Andre leads the unit in shots with 22, followed by freshman forward 
Kelsey Villatoro (13). Freshman froward 
Brooke Cox and Senior forward 
Koryn Barrett has tallied 11 shots apiece.
 
The Colonels have used both sophomore goalkeepers 
Megan Cook and 
Elizabeth Zepeda this season. Cook has seen action in 12 games with 10 starts and has made 46 saves, while Zepeda has played in 10 contests and logged eight starts and has made 59 saves.
 
Northwestern State comes into the matchup boasting a two-match win streak after beating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Houston Christian.
 
The Lady Demons leading goal scorer is Taylor Spitzer who has four goals on 44 shots. Emme' Fernandez, Sabrina Lopez, and Halee Griffin have two goals apiece.
 
Libe Banuelos has started all 16 matches in goal for NSU and has registered 73 saves on 215 shots faced.
