THIBODAUX, La. -- Nicholls State University senior midfielder
Lauren Andre was named to the Preseason All Southland Conference Second team as announced by the league office on Friday morning.
Andre was a force for the Red & Gray as she played in 16 games with 14 starts. In her 1163 minutes of action, she scored four goals and tallied one assist.
The Houma native led the Colonels in points (9), and shots on goal (14). Also put together an impressive weekend where she scored three goals and became the first Colonel to earn a SLC weekly honor since 2019.
The SLC also announced the preseason poll. Nicholls is projected to finish 11th while Lamar was picked to win the league.
