THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University tennis hosted Mississippi Valley State University the last two days for a four-match home stand at the Colonel Tennis Complex. Both the men and women Colonel teams represented well over the two days dropping a combined three games between the four matches.
"It was nice to be on our home courts, the atmosphere was relaxed and the players enjoyed the support that comes from being in a comfortable atmosphere. The level only gets better from here, we will face game opponents on the road next Wednesday vs Jackson State before the Men get back home for a pair of matches vs Alcorn State (3/3) and the College of Charleston (3/5). We will be having a crawfish boil for the match vs. Charleston. Come on out and enjoy the matches."
The men's team evened its record to 3-3 on the season while the women's squad improved to 4-2.

Nicholls will return to action Wednesday, March 1 at Jackson State. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
