BATON ROUGE, La. - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team returned to action Saturday at No. 23 LSU and first-year player
Anastasia Kuzevanova picked up a win in singles in a 6-1 loss at the LSU Tennis Complex.

The Tigers (6-1) won the doubles point and claimed the other five singles matches in straight sets to hand the Colonels (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Kuzevanova was dominant against Tiger Ashton Rabalais, winning both sets, 6-1. The win improved her singles record to 3-0 for the year.

After being shutout in the first set against No. 88 Ryann Foster,
Stephanie Barnett fought back on the No. 1 court but was defeated 7-5.
Marina Vigil also had a strong showing in her first set at No. 4, falling 6-3.

LSU cruised in doubles play, winning the top two courts by a combined score of 12-1.
Changwei Wei and Kuzevanova held a 4-3 lead before play was suspended.
