MATCH RESULTS

SEARCY, Ark. – The Nicholls State University women's tennis team closed out its weekend trip to Arkansas with a 4-0 victory against NCAA Division II Hardin Saturday, giving the Colonels their second straight win.
 
Nicholls (10-8) breezed through in doubles play, winning courts 2 and 3 by the score of 6-1. The Colonels then went on to win the first three matches of singles in straight sets for the 4-0 victory.
 
Changwei Wei was 2-0 on the day, winning at No. 3 doubles and 6 singles. She was the second Colonel to earn a victory in singles, following Stephanie Barnett's 6-1, 6-2 win over Arisa Takanashi on the top court. Takanashi headed into the matchup with Barnett with a 12-1 singles record.
 
Lingfeng Gu would close it out with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 2 against Laura Golubic.

The Colonels will head to Florida next week for two matches against Florida A&M (Tuesday, April 3) and Flagler College (Wednesday).
