BATON ROUGE, La. -- Just three days removed from enduring a tough loss to the same opponent, the Nicholls State University baseball program (2-4, 0-0 SLC) aims to take advantage of the quick revenge opportunity as the Colonels return to the state capital for a rematch against in-state powerhouse No. 11 LSU (6-1, 0-0 SEC), battling the Tigers in the Red & Gray's first midweek matchup of the season Tuesday evening at Alex Box Stadium, first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m. on the SECN+.

- Nicholls returns six players from last year's batting order (Dane Simon, Xane Washington, Alex Galy, Erick Hernandez, Dillon Belle & Alec Paz) along with three starting pitchers (Trever Kilcrease, Nick Heckman and Tyler Theriot) and three primary relievers (Joe Taylor, Peter Holland & Beau Balado).
